In some instances, fake Facebook accounts are being set up, stolen images posted to the timeline and then morphed in some way to turn the pictures into sexualized images. Sometimes the image is tagged with the name of someone within, or connected to the family. One man recently reported seeing a morphed image of his daughter and two-year-old granddaughter. The sites typically feature children partially clothed in adult lingerie, or in highly sexualized poses. In alone, Cybertip tracked 90 pilfered images on the modelling sites. One Australian study found roughly half of images shared on pedophile sites were taken from social media sites.
